Check-in & arrival
10 questions
What time can we check in?
Official check-in is from 15:00. Earlier arrival is not guaranteed, but you can drop your luggage off at our shop on the ground floor (more on that below) and start exploring Athens.
Is it OK if we arrive late at night?
Yes — self check-in works 24/7. The smart lock auto-locks between 22:00 and 09:00, but it does not block you from entering. Just type the door code and you are in.
When will we receive the access codes?
For your security, the lockbox and apartment door codes are sent automatically about 2 hours before your arrival, together with the full self check-in instructions. Please make sure your phone has data or wifi when you land.
Can we request an early check-in?
You can ask, and we will try our best, but it is not guaranteed until the night before — depends on the previous booking. If we cannot confirm, we offer free luggage storage at the ground-floor shop.
Can you store our luggage before check-in or after check-out?
Yes, completely free of charge at our shop "ired" on the ground floor of the same building. Hours: Mon–Fri 09:00–17:00, Sat 10:00–17:00, Sun & holidays closed.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is at 11:00. We need this window to prepare the apartment for the next guests. Late check-out can sometimes be arranged — please ask through the platform.
Where do we leave the keys when we check out?
On the round metal table right behind the apartment's main entrance door. Nothing else needs to be done — we collect everything during cleaning.
Do we need to clean or strip the beds before leaving?
No. Just turn off all air conditioners, close the windows, switch off the lights and take any rubbish out to the public bins on the street.
How do we open the building entrance?
There's a small lockbox to the right of the main entrance with a shared building key inside. You'll receive the lockbox code in your arrival message. Please return the key to the lockbox after you enter and scramble the digits — it's shared with neighbouring units.
How does the apartment door work?
A 6-digit smart lock (Nuki keypad). Type the code we send you and the door unlocks. From inside, press the round button on the lock or turn the round handle.

6 bedrooms + a Gameroom (Living Room 2) with a sofa-bed for 2. Total maximum capacity: 15 guests. 2 bathrooms + 1 WC. Bed mix: 1 king (180), 2 doubles (160), 1 double (140) + bunk bed, 2 single beds, and 1 single bed.
Is there an elevator?
Yes — and it's suitable for elderly guests or anyone with limited mobility. The apartment is on the 1st floor (looks like the 2nd via stairs because the first level is a mezzanine).
Is the tap water safe to drink?
Yes, completely. Athens tap water is potable. We also keep cold bottles in the fridge as a welcome gesture.
There is no hot water — what should I do?
For ecological reasons the boilers are off by default. Next to each bathroom there's an electrical panel on the wall — flip the switches labelled for the boiler upwards. If hot water runs out after long use, allow about 20 minutes to reheat.
Do you have wifi?
Yes, fast wifi covers the whole apartment. The network name and password are printed on the welcome guide inside the apartment, and there's a QR code in every bedroom for instant connection.
Are the TVs already logged into Netflix and Amazon Prime?
Yes, both are pre-logged-in. If Netflix asks to "update household" please let us know straight away — we fix it remotely in seconds.
How do I use the iMac?
Just press the power button at the lower back of the screen and log in as Guest (no password required).
Can we use the PlayStation 4?
Of course — it's ready to play, no password needed. Please be considerate of neighbours with sound levels at night.

Are there hairdryers, iron and washing machine?
Yes to all three: hairdryer in the bathroom, iron + ironing board in the wardrobe of the bunk-bed room, washing machine and dryer with detergent provided.

Do you have a baby cot and high chair?
Yes, a cot and a high chair are available on request. Just let us know in advance so we have them ready.
Are there extra sheets and towels in the apartment?

House rules
6 questions
Is smoking allowed?
Not inside the apartment. Only on the balconies, where ashtrays are provided.
Where do we throw toilet paper?
In the bin next to the toilet — please do not flush paper or anything else down the toilet. It's an old-style plumbing system and easily blocks.
Where do we throw the rubbish?
In the public bins on the street, usually right in front of the building. Bin bags are stored under the kitchen sink. There is no recycling separation in our area.
Can we have a small party or invite extra friends?
Parties and events are not allowed by default. A quiet gathering with no loud music and respect for noise hours may be discussed case-by-case — please message us first. Extra guests beyond the booking capacity are not allowed for sleeping; short visits of a few hours can sometimes be arranged with our approval.
Are pets allowed?
Please ask us before booking with a pet. We assess case-by-case to make sure the apartment is the right fit for both your animal and the next guests.
What about noise hours?
Greek "common quiet hours" run roughly 15:00–17:30 in summer / 15:30–17:30 in winter for the afternoon, and 23:00–07:00 at night. Neighbours are friendly but will call the police if it gets loud at night.
Neighborhood & food
8 questions
Is the area safe?

I saw graffiti on Google Maps — should I be worried?
Like in many central neighbourhoods of big European cities, you'll see graffiti around. It is part of the look of the area, not a sign of how safe it is. Locals walk around normally day and night.

Any restaurant recommendations nearby?

How far is the Acropolis?
4 metro stops (Victoria → Monastiraki, then a short walk). Around 15 minutes door-to-door including the walk. The Archaeological Museum is even closer: 600 m / ~8 minutes on foot.

Support & emergencies
8 questions
How do we contact you?
For everything except real emergencies: through Airbnb / Booking messaging. We usually reply within minutes. For real emergencies (water leak, no power, AC down, lock issue) you'll find a WhatsApp/phone number in your reservation messages.
I've lost the door code — what do I do?
Send us a message through Airbnb / Booking and we will resend it immediately. There's also a backup key procedure we can guide you through if needed.
The door is stuck and won't open — what should I do?
Don't panic — message us and we can unlock it remotely in seconds. There is also a backup key in a separate keybox we can direct you to. This happens very rarely, usually if the door wasn't fully closed.
What if there's a problem with the AC, plumbing or anything technical?
Message us straight away. On weekdays a technician comes the same day; on weekends or holidays we arrange the soonest possible visit and offer alternative solutions in the meantime.
I think I saw a bed bug — what now?
Please tell us immediately — we take this very seriously. We will come in person to assess the situation as soon as possible. We have not had such a report before, and we apologise in advance for any worry caused.
Why do you need our passport number?
Greek tax law requires us to register the main guest's passport / ID number for every short-term rental, in order to issue the official receipt. We only need it for the lead booker and we keep it strictly confidential.
Can we get a discount?
Our rates are already discounted whenever possible, so we don't usually offer extra reductions on the listed price. Long-stay bookings can sometimes be discussed — please send a message with your dates.
Number to call in a real emergency in Greece?
Dial 112 — the European emergency number — anywhere in Greece, free of charge. Operators speak English and Greek and route you to police, ambulance or fire as needed.
